We would really like to invite you to attend the Georgetown South Community Council Foundation’s (GTSCCF) annual fundraiser “Called Tapas and More. This helps us to fund and expand the following programs:
*Assistance for the Aging in Place repairs to their aging homes while on a fixed income
*New English Language Learner Programs
*Computer Literacy and Beginning AI for our adults
*A turf soccer field with fencing and lighting for kids and adults.
*Kids’ Summer Camps
*Adult Education Workshops
*Back to School Supplies
*Christmas Gifts for Seniors and Kids
*Badges for Baseball
*Girls on the Run
*Monthly Mobile Food Market
This is a sampling of the programs we coordinate that have helped transform this community from a crime and drug-ridden neighborhood to a place where people want to live and raise a family. We are 95% Latino immigrants who are hard-working, family oriented and trying to realize a dream far away from their birthplaces.
If you’d like to be part of that change that is happening take a photo of the QR code above or go through this link https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/tapas-and-more–2026 You can either buy a ticket (my suggestion as it’s great food and an even better time), make a donation OR donate an item to the silent auction or look around for a bottle of wine or spirits that you really don’t want for our Tequila/Wine/Surprise Pull. I really ask that you do any of these things as we struggle to do what we can to transform this community and serve as a model for others.
