Annual Board Meeting

Dear Georgetown South Homeowners,

Please join us for the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Georgetown South Community Council, Inc. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 6pm via ZOOM. Due to COVID, our meeting will be held virtually this year. The Zoom invite is attached. The waiting room will open at 5:30 p.m.  This year’s annual meeting will focus on changes in Georgetown South that are being made by the City of Manassas including the new parking regulations, the streetscape, the new housing development across the street and other issues as they arise. There will be no specific invitation to City councilmembers or City officials so as to allow our residents the opportunity to speak frankly among themselves.

While I know that the excellent food we serve often attracts people to our meetings, I cannot offer that this year. We will, however, have raffle prizes (Check out the fan of gift cards at the end.) for those who send in their ballots and proxies. The prizes are well worth the stamp, the email and/or the time you take to vote for people to represent you on the Georgetown South Community Council Board of Trustees   Raffle winners will be announced at the end of the meeting. Enclosed with this notice is a proxy and/or ballot so that you can vote for four of six candidates to represent you on the Board of Trustees. You can mail or email or drop off your proxy/ballot to the office prior to 4 p.m. March 8, 2022.  The email address is office@georgetownsouth.org.   *We must have a quorum of at least 10 percent (86) of the Members, by proxy, in order to conduct business.  Please be an active part of this community by returning your ballot.  Your account must be current to vote.  If you have any questions as to the status of your account, please feel free to contact the GTS office at the above address and phone number.  Thanks so much for being a part of a great community.
